Roy purchased the stunning ring in mid July with plans to propose to Caitlin in Florida at Disney World in late August. With ring in pocket, Caitlin and Roy were sitting on a bridge at Disney World. Preparing to pop the question,Roy pulled the ring box out of his pocket and opened it slowly when Caitlin had looked away. At that point the once in a lifetime moment took a turn for the worst. The ring dropped out of the box,bounced on to the bridge and landed directly into the lake underneath them. Roy became understandably flustered. Caitlin was confused she had never seen the ring,but Roy told her what had happened. The shaken couple could not get to the lake themselves and quickly contacted the Orlando Police Department who did a search of the lake but came up empty handed. The next day,the Orlando police had scuba divers search through the lake but still nothing. Roy called Cory Schifter,owner of Casale Jewelers to share the bad news.
